ROAR

Root Operation App Rescue

On October 1, 2015, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), in the United States, mandated that all healthcare entities covered by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) transform to a new set of codes for electronic healthcare transactions. We refer to the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Edition, Clinical Modification/Procedure Coding System (ICD-10-CM/PCS). The new classification system provides significant improvements through more excellent detailed information and the ability to expand to capture additional advancements in clinical medicine.
Whether you are an opponent or proponent, you must learn it.  Many of us have had to move over and learn about the new disease and procedural systems, and we have been very busy.  This App, ROAR, provides you with quick, easy reference to the most current ICD -10- PCS Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting, “Root Operations” definitions, and references to surgical “Approaches.” Also, a list of body parts is needed to clarify the body part and its related value. .
